On Thursday, August 22, WLREA teamed up with Armstrong Brewing to host our first Charity Casino Night in support of Habitat for Humanity. Donations were taken at the door before entering and each guest was given 10 chips to play parlor games and tickets for food and drink. Black Jack and Roulette were hot tables all night! We saw some chips tap out quickly while some truly lucky folks were able to 20x what they started with! Each attendee could also take a spin at our color wheel for extra playing chips, extra raffle tickets, a free home valuation, or real estate consultation—ladder two options are still available to anyone who is interested of course!
Throughout the night we had 2 raffles; our first winner, Kimberly Santos, got to take home an Apple Tv and our second winner Jordan Brown snagged a Ring Security System! At the end of the night, Chad Morales racked up the most chips and took home some Bose Speakers! Congratulations to all!
We’d like to extend a special thank you to Asad Taheri for bringing AMAZING gifts for our raffle winners and Armstrong Brewing for affording us the opportunity to host this event. Thank you to Cafe de Casa for donating delicious Brazilian bites and a big, big thank you to our top donors: Alan Russel and Daniel and Ruth Denardi! Together we raised $476!
We are truly impressed with all the work that Habitat for Humanity and their partners are doing in the 1,400 communities across the the U.S. and in over 70 countries around the world. Through their #HomeIsTheKey campaign, they work tirelessly to ensure that communities are uplifted by providing affordable housing. Making home ownership possible for all is a mission close to our hearts and WLREA is looking forward to continuing to support the cause by volunteering our time in the future to help build homes in South San Francisco and the surrounding area. If you’d like to make a direct donation to Habitat for Humanity, you can do so here.
We had a great time hanging out and testing our luck on the tables with you all and we are grateful to see new and familiar faces in attendance to help support a great cause. Looking forward to the next!
